More alarmingly, I learned this week that the the UK's chief veterinary is called Dr. Debby Reynolds. The thought that the person standing between me and a global pandemic of Evil Killer Flu sounds like she once starred opposite Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain scares me a lot more than a few sneezing geese...

I just finished 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' in which Hunter S. Thompson (aka Raoul Duke) and his Attorney, Dr. Gonzo, get thrown out of a Debbie Reynolds concert after demanding entrance, but upon getting in, become overwhelmed with laughter. Does mescaline cure avian flu?
I hope they can develop a flu shot pronto.
